IU Presidential Arts and Humanities Fellows

The Indiana University Presidential Arts and Humanities Fellowship is the signature program of this initiative, offering an academic-year fellowship program that accelerates and amplifies the work of outstanding Indiana University faculty poised to become national and international leaders in their fields.

IU Research selects a number of arts and humanities fellows each year from a competitive application pool. The cohort comprises a mix of senior and junior faculty in various disciplines from across Indiana University’s campuses. Fellows attend monthly meetings that feature professional development sessions and discussions centered on their research and creative activity.

Fellows are required to use a portion of their fellowship funding to bring a guest or guests to one of IU’s campuses to share their work with faculty, students, staff, and local communities as well as use some of the funding to travel for research and/or presentations at other academic locales.
