Accessing data related to research at IU

Accurate, timely data is critical for effective decision-making. The Office of the Vice President for Research provides IU faculty, staff, and administrators with reports, data, and data tools to inform decision making and measure progress.

Available data and reports

IU Sponsored Activity Reports

IU Sponsored Activity Reports provide monthly and annual trends of proposals, awards, and expenditures associated with sponsored projects at IU.

Compliance Reports

Compliance Reports are quarterly, summarizing activity in research compliance areas at IU including human subjects, radiation safety, animal care and use, institutional biosafety, conflict of interest, export controls, quality improvement, and research integrity.

Audit Reports

Audit reports, required annually by the federal government, provide financial and compliance information for all federally funded grants.

Service Survey Reports

Service Survey Reports provide a snapshot of responses to the regularly administered Human Subjects Office Service Survey assessing investigators’ interactions and experiences with the HSO and IRB.

Annual Report

The Annual Report offers a brief overview of the breadth of IU’s research collaborations and creative activities.
