Kurt Fullbeck serves as the Director of Indiana University Launch Accelerator for Biosciences (IU LAB) Initiatives and Partnerships. In this role Fullbeck will be responsible for leading the initiative around the physical space and implementation of the IU LAB’s new building. Kurt will provide strategic insights and serve as liaison with other IU departments and external stakeholders.
With a rich professional history spanning more than 20 years, Fullbeck brings a wealth
of diverse experience to his role at IU LAB. His extensive expertise encompasses public policy, nonprofits, community development and grants. Notably, he served as Senior Vice President for Development Strategies at the Indiana Economic Development Corporations (IEDC), responsible for the LEAP Lebanon planning and the administration of the READI grants. Additionally, Fullbeck served as the. Director, Business Development at REDI Cincinnati, where he orchestrated the development of the Cincinnati Innovation District (CID) in coordination with the University of Cincinnati and JobsOhio. Fullbeck’s journey began as a Project Assistant for the City of Indianapolis, progressing to his position as Senior Policy Manager Advisor for Economic Development for the Indianapolis Bond Bank. Subsequently, Fullbeck became the Real Estate Development Manager for AI. Neyer and finally as a site selection consultant for Ernst and Young where he represented numerous fortune 500 companies on the expansion plans.
Kurt is a graduate of Indiana University - Indianapolis where he earned his bachelors in Political Science.
