We wanted to share with the IU Research Administration community that NCURA is coming to Indianapolis! Three in-person events will be held September 15-17, 2025, at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Level 1: Fundamentals of Sponsored Projects
Who Should Attend? This program is intended primarily for the newcomer (less than 2 years experience) involved in sponsored projects administration at higher education institutions and affiliates, or for the individual who has primarily worked in only one area of sponsored projects administration and is seeking a broader view of the profession. This curriculum is targeted specifically to personnel who work in departmental administration, central sponsored programs offices, grants and contracts, and other areas of sponsored projects administration.
Contract Negotiation & Administration
Who Should Attend? Participants will want at least 2-5 years of Research Administration or equivalent experience to achieve learning objectives. The workshop would be appropriate for new and developing contract negotiators, college and departmental research administrators, program managers, and individuals transitioning to university contracting from related fields. (e.g. government and industry contracting, procurement, scientific/technical disciplines.
Financial Research Administration
Who Should Attend? Financial Research Administration affects a project from proposal development to project closeout, whether you are a research administrator in a department, a post-award office, a combined sponsored programs office that supports pre- and post-award functions, or a pre-award office that wants to understand how their functions support the post-award functions, this program will help you, your institution, and your faculty. Attendees are encouraged to have at least one year of sponsored projects administration experience.
