NIH announced on April 3rd that the DHHS Level II salary rate limitation is $225,700 and effective January 1, 2025. The equivalent Academic 10-month salary limitation is now $169,275.

This salary limitation applies to the institutional base salary rate of pay. Therefore, the salary limits are applied relative to the FTE and effort percentage charged to an award.
ORA recommends all impacted proposals begin immediately using the new salary cap level if possible.
It will be required for any proposal with a submission date on or after April 21, 2025, at which time the 2024 amount will no longer be accepted.
