A Post-Proposal Action (PPA) involves the submission of documentation to the sponsor related to a pending proposal or active award that requires an institutional endorsement from the Office for Research Administration (ORA). Examples include Just-In-Time requests, other post-proposal submission informational requests, or post-award requests such as progress report submissions or prior approval requests (e.g. time extension, addition of foreign component, budget revision, etc.). Please submit PPAs early enough to allow for the full four (4) business days for review and submission in accordance with IU’s routing policy (SPA-11-018).
Along with the documentation being submitted to the sponsor, please remember to attach any sponsor written communication pertaining to the request, including a sponsor-indicated due date. Starting October 1st, PPAs that arrive at ORA with fewer than four (4) business days without the sponsor’s written due date communication will have the due date adjusted to allow for the four (4) business days.
