As we approach another round of proposal submission deadlines for the fall, please remember that sponsor systems will be experiencing a higher volume of user traffic as their deadlines approach. It is critical that ORA has time to review complete packages prior to submission, which includes the technical portion as well as the administrative. Proposals that include multiple projects/cores, large numbers of proposed subawards, representation and certification documents, and/or establishment of operations in a foreign country may be eligible for pre-assignment – please contact ORA to inquire.
As a reminder, IU policy SPA-11-025 requires that all final administrative portions for governmental and governmental pass-through proposals be fully routed to ORA four (4) business days prior to the sponsor deadline. We strongly encourage proposals to be routed earlier if possible . KC Proposal Development documents received without any administrative attachments or with only a budget will be disapproved. If the re-routed proposal arrives at ORA with fewer than the required review days, the proposal will receive a late compliance review only and be at a significantly increased risk of not being submitted.
If you have questions about an upcoming submission or an assignment, please contact ORA. Thank you for your help in making this next round of deadlines as smooth as possible. Your continued support and collaboration, especially during high-volume periods, is appreciated.
