The Routing of Sponsored Programs Documents at Indiana University Policy has been updated to require a KC Proposal Development Document for all requests to transfer a sponsored project from IU to a new entity. This includes those projects where a relinquishing statements serve as the request to transfer. Requests to sponsors to terminate a project that does not involve a transfer should still be submitted via the Non-Routed Administrative Request form.
In order to accommodate this change, ORA has added a Revision Type option of Transfers from IU/Relinquish Statement to the KC Proposal Development Document which should be selected in combination with the Proposal Type of Revision (except Supplement) when routing a request to transfer a project from IU. This shift will ensure that all impacted parties are aware of the transfer.
