Currently all Indianapolis NIH proposals are submitted using the Indianapolis DUNS (60-300-7902) or UEI (SHHBRBAPSM35). This process is not changing, but we have learned that all Indianapolis proposals submitting via ASSIST should also use the Indianapolis DUNS or UEI. More PHS sponsors are choosing to utilize ASSIST (Application Submission System & Interface for Submission Tracking) for proposal submission and since ASSIST operates in tandem with ERA Commons, it is important that all Indianapolis proposals using ASSIST/Commons use the Indianapolis information for post-award access and reporting purposes.
Current sponsors that use ASSIST include but not necessarily limited to:
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
Food & Drug Administration (FDA)
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
There may be other PHS sponsors using ASSIST, so please verify the submission system in the Program Announcement (PA) or Request for Proposal (RFA).
As a reminder, it is required to use ASSIST over submitting via Grants.Gov Workspace anytime ASSIST is available for submission.
