The Office of Personnel Management (opm.gov) has increased the Executive Level II of the Federal Executive Pay Scale from $187,000 to $189,600; however, NIH has not formally announced this policy change due to the Continuing Resolution.
For new proposals only, the Executive Level II salary rate of $189,600 may be used for the NIH salary cap.
Until NIH issues further guidance, awards will continue to be established using the 2017 Executive Level II rate of $187,000 as the NIH salary cap.
