Submit a protocol application to the Bloomington IACUC

All protocol submissions to the Bloomington IACUC must come via email from the principal investigator’s email address.

Be prepared to state the purpose of your research, a description of the experiment and animal procedures, your rationale for involving animal subjects, and a list of the personnel involved with the project, as well as any specific animal procedures, such as breeding, anesthesia, or surgery.

Submission guidelines

  • Download and complete the required Animal Care and Use Protocol Form and all other necessary forms from the list below.
  • Forms are updated periodically. Always download a new form when submitting a new protocol. Previous versions of submission forms will not be accepted.
  • Send all completed files to biacuc@indiana.edu.
  • The email must come from the principal investigator's email address, or from a verifiable member of the laboratory with the principal investigator copied on the email.
