|Are you looking for funding opportunities for your research or creative activity? The Office of the Vice Provost for Research maintains a number of useful funding search tools for faculty. Visit the Finding Funding tab on the OVPR website to learn about the internal funding programs, funding databases, pre-filtered searches and other resources available to the IU Bloomington community. An easy way to get started is to use a pre-filtered search available on the OVPR external funding page.
Another great starting point, PivotTM provides intuitive tools for discovering funding opportunities. Any member of the IU community can access Pivot using their IU log-on (CAS) credentials. Guidance on using Pivot is available on IU's Research Gateway, and there are many helpful videos online to get the most out of Pivot.
We encourage you to claim and maintain your Pivot profile, which enables you to save funding searches, track search results, and receive alerts based on your keywords and preferences. You can also share funding opportunities with collaborators. Shared searches and tracked opportunities create a link to dynamic information, so clicking a link will always return current results.
Another useful database is the Foundation Directory Online. FDO Quick Search is available with free registration; advanced searches are available through IU's subscription. Contact Proposal Development Services or visit the reference desk at Wells Library or the SPEA library for access to advanced searches.
- Claim your Pivot profile and update it to reflect your current research interests.
- Set up automatic notifications of opportunities that match your keywords.
