IUPUI Center for Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) Scholar of the Month Conversation Series (June 2021)
"COVID-25: Preparing for the Next Black Swan"
June 25, 2021, 12 noon – 1 pm EDT
Professor Philip Cochran's current research focuses on how organizations can and should respond to major crises that are known as “Black Swans.” Black Swans are extremely rare events that have severe consequences. Examples include earthquakes, nuclear wars/accidents, volcanos, hurricanes, the COVID-19 pandemic that we are experiencing today, major supply chain disruptions such as the recent Suez Canal blockage, among other events. Professor Cochran will discuss how organizations, universities, businesses, and not-for-profits should respond to these types of events for successful outcomes.
Join us virtually on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m. to learn how Professor Cochran is using translational research to address this issue. Continuing Education Credits are also available for this event.
