2026 IU Indy Research Revue: Celebrating Research Excellence at IU Indianapolis

Presenters: Alexandru Movila, Jason Palamara, Young-joo Lee, Eric Grommon, Jennifer Bute, Tony Chase, Erika Cheng, Randall Roper, Amelia Knopf, Jingwen Yan, Jake Gale, Billy Tringali, Lasana Kazembe, Sam Kalen, and Hasan Reza. 

The 2026 IU Indy Research Revue was held on April 2, 2026, at the Madam Walker Legacy Center. The Revue is a special event celebrating research excellence at IU Indianapolis. This gathering recognized the outstanding accomplishments of our research community and showcased researchers’ transformative contributions to research and creativity. Attendees included President Pamela Whitten, IU Indianapolis Chancellor Latha Ramchand, campus, school, and department leaders, as well as external advisors for the campus, and special guests of the presenters.

Two awards were presented for the most creative presentation and the presentation with the greatest clarity of science.

  • Billy Tringali, University Library, won for the most creative presentation with his presentation “The Anime Studies Appetizer Sampler”.
  • Dr. Ameila Knopf, School of Nursing, won for the greatest clarity of science with her presentation “Meeting the Moment: Science as a Path to Justice”.
