This message serves as a correction to the announcement titled NIH Salary Rate Limitation for 2026 Announced sent out on February 4 regarding recent NIH guidance.
Since that announcement was sent out, NIH has issued Notice NOT OD 26 038, which updates the effective date for Notice NOT-OD-26-034 from January 11, 2026, to January 1, 2026.
Due to the updated effective date units may begin using the updated NIH guidance to active and new awards effective January 1, 2026.
