Featured external funding opportunities
The NIH has recently released over 30 specific funding opportunities related to the HEAL Initiative (Helping to End Addiction Long-term). Funding opportunities range from basic research on topics like developing non-addictive therapies to treat pain to clinical trials preventing opioid use disorder among specific populations. Due dates range from February 7, 2019 to the fall of 2020.

BWF's Innovation in Regulatory Science Awards provides up to $500,000 over five years to academic investigators developing new methodologies or innovative approaches in regulatory science that will ultimately inform the regulatory decisions the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and others make. Public Humanities Projects grants support projects that bring the ideas and insights of the humanities to life for general audiences. Projects must engage humanities scholarship to illuminate significant themes in disciplines such as history, literature, ethics, art, or to address challenging issues in contemporary life. Applications should follow the parameters set out for one of the three categories - Community, Conversations, Exhibitions, and Historic Places.
