Katherine Moynihan is a senior manager at the Indiana University Office of Innovation & Commercialization. She works to evaluate inventions, facilitate the patent process, prepare and negotiate licenses, and build relationships with university researchers and industry contacts. Moynihan works predominantly with technologies developed at the Indiana University School of Medicine, as well as copyright technologies.
Prior to joining IU, Moynihan was a licensing and market specialist at the Office of Technology Transfer at the University of Michigan and a Research Fellow in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Vanderbilt University. Moynihan holds a B.S. in chemistry from the College of William and Mary and a Ph.D. in cell and developmental biology from Vanderbilt University, where she studied the role of CENP-F in microtubule dynamics and heart development.
