Lin joined the Indiana University Office of Innovation & Commercialization as Chief Technology Licensing Counsel in 2018. Working in conjunction with the university’s Office of the Vice President & General Counsel, Winston focuses his practice on licensing and corporate contracts to protect the university’s intellectual property and to support engagement with industry.
Prior to joining IU, Winston served as an assistant director for the Technology Development Group at the University of California, Los Angeles where he collaborated with faculty and industry partners to facilitate technology commercialization efforts. Lin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in political science. He earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California and his M.B.A. from Cornell University.
