Kristin Eilenberg serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor Research Strategy at IU Indianapolis. In this role, she supports a university-wide strategy that connects IU Indianapolis faculty work to Indiana University’s broader research enterprise and statewide priorities. Eilenberg works directly with faculty to expand externally funded research, connect with industry and community partners across Indiana, and accelerate the translation of faculty discoveries into real-world marketplace solutions. Her efforts directly advance Pillar Two of the IU 2030 strategic plan: Transformative Research and Creativity.

Eilenberg brings more than two decades of experience in research, commercialization, innovation strategy, and cross-sector partnership development. Prior to joining IU, she served as Vice President of Life Sciences and Healthcare at Elevate Ventures, founded a strategic consulting firm, and held multiple clinical trial and operational leadership roles at Eli Lilly and Company. Deeply engaged in the innovation ecosystem and community, she serves on the boards of directors for the Indiana Life Sciences Association, Kovina Therapeutics, and Authenticx, and volunteers as a troop treasurer for the Girl Scouts of USA. Eilenberg holds an MBA from Purdue University and bachelor's degrees in medical microbiology and environmental science from Michigan State University.
