This is a required class for anyone working with Biosafety Level 2 materials, and strongly recommended for those working with Biosafety Level 1 materials. Training includes information on the potential hazards associated with the use of biohazardous materials, the means by which these hazards can be minimized, and institutional procedures for the procurement, use, transfer, and disposal of biohazardous materials.
