OBJECTIVES
- Support faculty research and scholarship.
Initiate new faculty research and creative activities.
Supply modest support at unusually critical times.
AWARD
- The maximum award for both programs is $2,500.
CONDITIONS
- Open to Bloomington tenure-track faculty, research scientists,
research scholars, and librarians.
Applications are reviewed by a faculty committee.
Can be used only for expenses not funded through other sources.
Duplicate submission for Grants-in-Aid and the Biomedical Research Support Grants (BRSG) is not permitted.
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to Bloomington tenured and tenure-eligible faculty and librarians. With certain exceptions, non tenure-track faculty members whose evaluation criteria include research or creative activity are also eligible with an explanation in the letter of support from their chair or dean. Visiting and adjunct faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, and part-time faculty are not eligible.
RESTRICTION
- Grants may not be used to pay faculty stipends or graduate fee remissions.
